SEOContest2008 Problem 9: Some Datacenters Dancing At #2
By SEOContest2008 - Posted on Mon Mar 24, 2008Yup, after checking several data centers after Ed sent me an IM and told me he’s been seeing me at number 2 on some DCs. I decided to check it myself and it has been inconsistent as some show me at #1, some show me at #2 on Google. With 1 week left, it is still anybody’s game.
My SEOContest2008 Solution #9
Hmmm, do nothing and pray? *LOL* It is actually hard to make drastic changes just to maintain this position. Sometimes too sudden changes in desperate hopes to stay at a certain position just does bad things. Just considering what could have caused this rank to go down in some datacenters can be 1 in a million reasons but I guess it can be broken mainly into two:
- seocontest2008-sphere.com has done something really good to his site to make it pass my current ranking in some datacenters
or
- I have done something really bad that made my site slip and go down a notch.
If ever the reason is number 1, then what I have to do is catch up. If the reason is number 2, then I will reflect in what were the last changes I have worked on.
I decided to work on number 2 first. Just before I found out about this, I have made a new blog post comparing 2 SEO Contest strategies. The content is relevant in some way and I had a lot of outbound links in the post. Thinking it had something to do with the outbound links, I decided to place in several nofollows just to see how it goes.

Bumalik agad sa number 1 and this is great!!! Im sure mananalo ka Sir Benj. Why? Dahil I know na may tama kang process sa mga ginagawa mo… And this is one of the best tactics na hindi pa nalalaman ng ibang SEO. I want to know this tactics also. Keep up the good work:D
